Here at Blossoms your child’s happiness, growth and development is what makes us thrive daily. We offer experiences for children aged 3 months to 5 years within our nursery. We are lucky enough to be able to offer wraparound care for children from reception to 12 years in The Hive before and after school and in the holidays.
We create a magical nurturing environment for your little ones to develop. It is our aim to provide a safe place that encourages their natural curiosity to explore the world around them securely.
Here at Blossoms we offer a warm welcoming environment for our children and families with a wide range of experiences. We have a large amount of garden space to offer lots of outdoor experiences for your little ones.
We offer unique experiences such as Music and Movement with Singing Lisa who visits all age groups which is thoroughly enjoyed by all. For the pre-school children we offer football coaching with PR (Sports.
At Blossoms we are continuously developing our relationships with the local community.
We visit our local care home to see the residents, exploring arts and crafts, singing and stories together.
With being close to town, we have supermarkets, pet stores, the reptile shop and the library nearby which we love to visit.
In order for us to explore the wider community we have our very own mini bus. Places we like to visit are Stanwick lakes, Irchester county park, Wellingborough museum and Sywell Aerodrome.
Nursery Manager
Hello, I’m Kelly Brown – Manager here at Blossoms Day Nursery.
I’ve worked in early years education for many years, and it’s a role I genuinely enjoy and
take great pride in. Supporting children during these important early stages of development is incredibly rewarding, and I’m passionate about creating a safe, inspiring space where they can learn, explore, and thrive through play.
Alongside my work with children, I’m equally focused on leading and supporting the amazing team here at Blossoms. I believe a positive, well-supported staff team is key to delivering the best care and experiences for our children, and I’m committed to helping each team member reach their full potential.
Every day brings something new, and I’m proud to be part of a setting that puts children first in everything we do.
I have worked for Blossoms Day Nursery for over four years and am proud to be their People and Finance Manager. My role brings together my passion for nurturing a positive workplace culture with my expertise in HR and financial management. I find great joy in supporting our incredible teams across both settings, fostering professional growth, and ensuring the smooth running of our operations. Being part of the nurseries where I can watch the children flourish while contributing to the development and well-being of our staff makes every day incredibly rewarding.
I’m particularly committed to championing staff wellbeing, encouraging open and meaningful communication, and cultivating an inclusive and supportive environment for staff and children. Whether its helping team members reach their potential or contributing to strategic decisions that shape the future of the nurseries, I’m dedicated to making a positive impact every day.
People and Finance Manager
Deputy Manager
Hi, my name is May Connolly and I’m the Deputy Manager here at Blossoms Day Nursery & The Hive. I’ve worked in childcare for many years and have always had a real passion for helping children grow, develop and thrive.
I have a lot of experience working with children with additional needs, and I’m also the SENDCo at Blossoms. Supporting
every child as an individual and making sure they feel included, understood and able to reach their full potential is really important to me.
For me, working at Blossoms is all about creating a safe, fun and engaging environment where children can enjoy a wide
range of experiences that help set them up for the future. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what I love — each day brings new opportunities to support the children, celebrate their achievements and help them build confidence in their own
abilities.
It’s also really important to me that our amazing team feel supported and valued. When staff feel happy and confident in what they do, it makes such a difference to the care we provide. We all work together to make sure every child gets the best
possible start in life

At the bottom of our garden we have a fish pond where the children like to watch the fish come up to take food, the children also learn about life cycles as frogs often find a peaceful spot under the reaves.
Here in the Buttercup room we take babies from 3 months to two years.
This is a quiet room with a calming atmosphere where the children can freely explore a range of child led activities and structured play.
We have a sleep space within the room which enables us to follow the same routine as if you were at home thus creating a home from home for our babies.
All of the furniture within the room is to a low level where the babies can cruise accessing resources of their choosing.
We have a separate room for arts and crafts which includes messy play.
The Buttercup room has its very own garden which is fully equipped for them.
When the children are ready to move through, staff set visits for the children in the Daffodils room at the age of two.
Our Daffodils room offers a wealth of learning opportunities for the children to develop through curiosity and structured learning.
We have a discovery room where they can explore natural resources using their imagination. There is a role play area and also lots of arts and crafts to develop their fine motor skills.
The Daffodils room has access to a large garden area with 4 separate areas which is shared with the pre-school. Our lovely garden is open and holds a wealth of learning opportunities for the children to explore.
This is our pre-school room where we prepare the children for school promoting school readiness.
The children have the freedom to learn and play to suit their own individual interests. They have a wonderful role play area. Arts and craft area fully stocked ready for the children’s creations, including their very own play dough station.
There is a snug book corner where the children can enjoy the love of books and a bit of quiet time.
In the sunflowers they have free flow access to the garden daily and also have 3 other garden areas shared with the daffodils fully equipped for those learning experiences for all.
The knowledgeable staff within the pre-school support the children with their transition to school to continue their learning journey.
